Trainee Mobile Phone Technician

West One Technology Ltd are looking for individuals who are interested in a career repairing and refurbishing mobile phones.

We offer in-house training where you will learn to work with various models of handsets. A permanent job will be offered by the company after completion of technical training given.


  • Your main responsibility will be to repair and test mobile devices for the production of mobile phones.
  • Testing and diagnostics prior to repair.
  • Repair according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Quality Assurance testing prior to handset sign off.
  • Ability to flash handsets for software updates as required.
  • Grade handsets accurately
  • Pack completed handsets with relevant paperwork.

Interview Process

  • During the interview you will be given a hands on technical test to see how well you cope using our tools and materials.

Training Fee's

  • We want people to stay and be committed to the company, however should you wish to leave; from the commencement date of technical training given, should you leave the company within 6 months, you will be liable to repay for the total cost of technical training (£750), or half the cost (£375) should you leave between 6 - 12 months thereafter. After training, there are three departments that you could potentially work in. These include Repairing (known as the Workshop Department), Refurbishing or the LCD Department.

After Training

  • You will will be issued with a permanent contract and a salary increase, which will be dependant on your technical ability and job title.
  • The salaries for Mobile Phone Technicians vary from £8 - £10 per hour.

Working hours

  • 09:00 - 18:00, Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week.
